Special achievements

Self-sufficiency in agricultural production: Magura is known as an agricultural district as there are no mills. As most of the land in the district is flat, the amount of three crop lands is much more. Which is of special importance to enrich the agriculture of Magura. Magura district has been dependent on agriculture since ancient times. Most of the people make a living through agricultural work. Apart from paddy and jute cultivation, a large number of vegetables and grains are cultivated in the district. Which is also supplied to the surrounding districts by meeting their own demand. Today Magura district is self-sufficient in the production of agricultural products and food grains. As a result, Magura's agricultural products will be able to play a significant role in meeting the demand of the country.

100% Sanitation Coverage

Achieving 100% Sanitation Coverage The government announced Magura district administration to ensure sanitation facilities in all families by 2013. The entire Magura district was brought under 100% sanitation coverage in the district by June 2006 and was awarded a special award by the Magura district government for this achievement. At present, the district administration is continuing its efforts to ensure sustainable sanitation coverage.

 

Pink Village and Green City:

 Pink Village and Baharbagh-1 high quality green city (Green City) have been constructed in Jagdal Union under Sadar Upazila of Magura District and Baharbagh-1 in Gopalgram Union for the marginalized people to achieve the desired number 11 of SDG. Going beyond conventional thinking and consciousness, these two clusters have been completed from a completely modern thought-provoking concept. Where there are semi-finished houses, attached bathrooms, private solar, kitchen room, common space, community center, pond, mosque, temple, maktab, school, community clinic and above all employment arrangements etc. Ensuring urban amenities in the village has created a huge interest among the landless and they are staying there.

Sirijdia Baor Ecopark and Resort (Tourism Industry):

Located in Chaulia Union of Magura Sadar Upazila, Sirijdia Baor is an English U-shaped reservoir. The total area of ​​the baor is 91.33 acres. This baor is a source of amazing natural beauty. Adjacent to the banks of the Baor are a touch of natural beauty and a vast crop field. There are also paved ghats. Ayen Nature has arranged everything with her own hands with utmost care. The district has recently been declared a resort and ecopark by the district administration. This has opened a new door for the tourism industry as well as the conservation of natural biodiversity. In addition, due to the arrival of people thirsty for travel, various economic activities will be developed here which will play a helpful role in creating self-employment.
