Where can I get a firearms license application form ?

JM branch or photocopy.

What is the procedure for obtaining a firearms license ?

In case of single-barreled / double-barreled gun / rifle license, after applying with the required documents, the license is issued subject to the satisfactory opinion of the DSB branch.

In case of application for pistol / revolver license, the license is issued subject to the permission of the Ministry of Home Affairs after obtaining a satisfactory opinion from the DSB branch.

Who can be given a firearms license ?

First-class government officials , prominent industrialist whose yearly income tax II , 00 , 000 / - Rs. Licenses are issued for the transfer of arms in favor of the heirs due to old age and death of the licensee.

Age ?

25 years for single-barreled / double-barreled gun / rifle license.

In case of pistol / revolver license - 32 years.

 

05.

What documents are required ?

Birth Registration , Citizenship Certificate , National Identity Card , Income Tax Certificate , Warranty Certificate where applicable.

What is the firearms license fee ?

Fee for single-barreled / double-barreled gun license - Rs. 2000 / -.

Fee for pistol / revolver / rifle license - Rs. 4000 / -.

It is usually renewed in December every year. In special cases, the District Magistrate extends the period of renewal of special powers till January of the following year.
